Adopt-A-Street Project

Good evening all,

I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend! We had an amazing weekend serving our community, specifically, serving on our 'streets'!

BWTR has committed to being a part of the Adopt-A-Street project. YAY!!!! If you're not familiar with the program, it is a program operated by individual cities. It gives organizations, private and public, an opportunity to clean up various segments of city streets. It is just another brilliant way to help our community thrive and shine.  This project was an entirely new endeavor to our organization. We are super excited to join Adopt-A-Street and serve in a new way!

Ever notice those blue adopt-a-street signs? On some one them, you'll see the name of the organization or individual that adopted a street.  A really cool bonus to joining this project is a sign will be installed on the street to credit our organization for our services!!

We were assigned a designated area on Elliot road (between Kyrene and Rural) in the city of Tempe. This project can span for about 2 years, up to 4 times a year.  As usual BWTR is up for the task!! We came in Saturday morning, equipped with vests, gloves and trash bags and did our thing!  For about a mile, our ladies picked up trash and transformed our street. It's so awesome to come together to make the world a better place. Even small steps make a difference.

In a couple weeks the city will install a blue street sign with our organization on it! Can't wait to to check it out!! Stay tuned!!!!
